Teen Line: (800) 852 – 8336 This is a great idea! Teens can speak with other teens who have experience in dealing with similar issues. Talking to someone your own age can be less threatening. Call this line M-Sun, 6-10pm for your teen-to-teen counseling.
National Mental Health Association Helpline: (800) 969 – 6642 NMHA has educated millions about mental illnesses and reduced barriers to treatment and services. As a result of their efforts, many Americans with mental disorders have sought care and now enjoy fulfilling, productive lives. Don’t let poor self-esteem make you miss out on good life.
Parents Anonymous Helpline: (800) 345 – 5044The organization is concerned with preventing child abuse and neglect. It is a good resource for single parents dealing with child and teen health and mental illness issues. Questions can be answered as to how to help children deal with self-esteem and what a parent can do to help increase self-esteem in their child.
