US Commission on Civil Rights: (800) 552 – 6843The commission studies, assesses and reports issues of civil rights in the US. It also examines the use of civil rights laws. The mission is to investigate complaints of US citizens reporting their rights are being violated. Rights such as voting, equal protection under the law. Reports of discrimination based on race, religion, sex, age, disability or national origin can be reported to the President and Congress. Public Service Announcements are issued to put off people from denying people equal protection under the law.
Domestic Abuse Helpline for Men (Formerly - Battered Men’s helpline): (877) 643 – 1120 Access Code: 0757This is a crisis line and referral service to victims complaining of spousal or intimate partner abuse. Court advocacy is also provided. They want to increase public awareness and change the way people think of domestic violence. This is not simply a woman’s issue. All victims of domestic violence need assistance and should have resources equally distributed.
Battered Women’s Helpline: (800) 332 – 4443This is a state hotline that services callers 24-hours. It directs you to shelters nearest to you, and offers counseling by phone. Domestic violence information is offered as well.

Equal Employment Opportunity Commission: (800) 669 – 4000To file a discrimination charge, Title VII charges must be made within 180 days of the alleged discriminatory act.
Women’s Sports Foundation: (800) 227 – 3988 For facts, background data and statistics about girls/women in sports
