Classical Chords
Classical music is eternal and as the name suggests…it is classic.  The music focuses on each individual note’s perfection in order to make sure that the melody will flow. Classical music refers to music written during the Classical Period (c. 1770-1830) and most often refers to the music of Beethoven and Mozart. But, it is not just the music written back when people were less showered and more proper…classical music is heard today in renditions by new composers and in remixes by electronica DJs.

What parent wouldn’t love a child who appreciates classical music?  Not many parents that we know.  What kid wants to be best friends with another kid who is likes to listen to and study classical music?  Not many kids that will admit it.  So why does classical music get such a bad rap?  Well, its old and it puts you to sleep, but its time you listened up because classical music is at the root of many of your favorite songs.

What’s more is that many people learn classical music first as part of their training before branching out into other genres.  Classical music is often the most challenging and complicated, but once you master the chords, you can deal with anything.

If you already love classical music then you know how powerful it can be.  One concerto can take you through all of the emotions you have and some that you didn’t know existed.  That’s probably why the old people…ahem…parents that you know like it.  It really has meaning even when there are no words or the lyrics are written in another language.

Still not convinced, well you are missing out!  Classical music is the gateway to all other types of music.  It is what you will learn if you take a music theory class and it will start you on your way to learning anything from the basic chords to the complicated compositions that amaze chamber music audiences. So get started!
