Adventures In Babysitting

Some of us remember the exciting movie, Adventures In Babysitting, because of the crazy night one babysitter had trying to pick up her friend from the train station. There was a man with a hook as a hand, a flat tire, a party, a breakup, and climbing up the side of a very tall building etc. All the while, the babysitter had three children for whom she was totally responsible. While you hopefully will not encounter anything like those adventures, babysitting can be quite exciting. It is important to know that an enormous amount of energy will be required and that there is hardly a dull minute. Try to get an idea of who you are going to be babysitting, their interests and typical behaviors. Most importantly, have fun.

Babysitting means to care for children, usually during a short absence of the parents (or primary caregivers). Babysitting involves keeping the child entertained, possibly feeding them or taking them on an outing, making sure they follow rules set by their parents, and most importantly it means that you get to act like a kid again!
