Dressed to Impress?
Everywhere we go, we notice what other people are wearing. Even people who say they don¡¦t care about clothes notice appearances. The right outfit could get you a job, respect from your teachers, and an approving glance from your crush. How do you find that happy medium of having a cool outfit which is both appropriate for school and not totally dorky?

It¡¦s important to remember that you can catch your crush¡¦s eye without also attracting the principal¡¦s attention. Sure, some guys can¡¦t take their eyes off of girls in tiny skirts and tops that bear it all, but you don¡¦t have to wear your bikini to school to get attention. The girls who get the best guys are girls who dress to fit the occasion. They don¡¦t wear beach clothes to school or a clubbing outfit to a barbeque. By dressing appropriately, they show everyone that they respect themselves and expect others to respect them.

A person who dresses well and appropriately, knows every detail of her figure ¡V the bad and the good. She dresses to hide the problem areas and draws attention her best assets. Dressing well, for both guys and girls, means playing to your strengths and wearing clothes that are clean and appropriate for the situation.

Dressing your age is also important. Try to attract people who are your age; dressing older will make people think you are going to ACT older and that could be dangerous! You might not be ready for what your clothes are signaling. If you aren¡¦t careful, you could end up looking immature by trying to impress everyone with flashy clothes. By dressing well, you look mature, responsible, AND attractive!

Remember that dressing and looking your age is not a bad thing, either. So many adults wish they were kids again and didn¡¦t have to deal with so many responsibilities. Wear clothes that are young and fun and don¡¦t try to grow up too fast. The celebrities you see on TV seem cool because they are older, but you can enjoy your teen years much more if you spend them being yourself and not trying to look or act older all the time.
