Learning can be Fun…Seriously
So you have to read something for class and you are not really into it, what do you do?  Well, you know how to read so that is definitely a start, but maybe you just aren’t that into it.  Get into the competitive spirit and look at it as a challenge!  Try to read fastest in your class with the most understanding of the material.  Be the first to shoot your hand up when you are asked a question. Soon, you will find that the reading and writing that used to be a necessary evil, is becoming a breeze.

Why do people always tell you that learning can be fun and then make it mandatory?  Whether it’s the five parts of an essay, how to compose a three-page book report, or what references to include in a research paper, it’s definitely not ranked highest of your list of fun. Assigned reading can suck all of the fun out of a book…unless you don’t let it.  There are plenty of things that you MUST do, but that you can CHOOSE to make fun and reading can be one of them.  “Wanna bet?” you say.  Yeah, WARM2Kids will take that bet…and here are some examples to prove our point.

Eating:
“THE MUST FACTOR” – You need to eat to…well…to survive.  Food helps you to stay healthy, to get energy and to fuel your body for all the activities that you want to or have to do.

“THE CHOICE FACTOR” – So why do you want to eat?  Most of the time cooking and eating with family or friends is a great social activity.  Conversations at dinnertime are really cool because you can recap the day and let loose after school or work.  Besides, food just tastes good most of the time.

Buying clothes:
“THE MUST FACTOR” – You can’t walk around naked (unless you’re interested in seeing the inside of a jail cell) so you have to get clothes.  Do you really want to spend your life being a STREAKER?  Chances are, no one else wants you to do that either.

“THE CHOICE FACTOR” – Yeah, like going to the mall is actually a chore for you!  Let’s face it, whether you are there with a purpose or just to shop around, the mall has become the place to be for many reasons…or for no reason at all!

Now, what about…READING?

There are thousands of times a day that you MUST DO it…and doing it for homework is one of them.  Not to mention, getting the latest sports stats, reading about cool trends in your favorite mag, or reading a note from your friend about who is dumped; who is dating; or who is digging you.  Even when your reading material isn’t as exciting as ESPN magazine or Teen Vogue, you can still make it a blast…and WARM2K can show you how.  The more you read, the better you read.  This means that when you CHOOSE to read, you are choosing to SUCCEED.
