This book was written by a series of professors who study dyslexia and learning disabilities.  It is a little on the complex side to read but gives a lot of good explanatory information and advice.

This is an excellent memoir that conveys first hand how it felt to go from a gifted elementary student to one who had trouble just remembering her locker combination.  Eventually she is diagnosed with dyscalculia and provided with strategies to help her out in daily life.  A good read for anyone who wants to know more about this particular learning disability and the effect it can have on self-esteem.
