Follow the “Prospective GED Test-Takers” link for info. on taking the test. Go to “Contact Your Jurisdiction’s GED Testing Program” to find the contact information you’ll need to take the test in your location. Addresses and phone numbers are listed.
Go to “Students’ Classroom” for interactive fun. Under “Games and Activities” you can play games like “Mascot Match” (match the mascot to the school), do word searches, and take quizzes that test your knowledge. You can also look up education statistics for school reports.
This site has tons of links (go to “Resources” to find them). You can find links to programs like Americorps and Big Brothers Big Sisters of America. This would also be a good site to visit if you’re going to do a school report on dropping out and how to prevent it.
On this site you can look into finding an apprenticeship. If you click on “For Individuals” on this page, and then “Finding a Program,” you’ll come to a page with important links. These are links that can help you to find an apprenticeship in your area. Most states have an Office of Apprenticeship Training, Employer and Labor Services Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training. Contact info. for these offices is listed by state.
Go to the students’ section of this site for tons of information and homework help. You can look into financial aid for college, find out more about career colleges and technical schools, or get help with your homework.
