Not Your Typical Family Game Night; “Go Fish”
So you want to spend some quality time with your family but you don’t know where to start? We’ve got plenty of cool ideas!

Things you can do with the “fam”

  • Revive the “family game night” idea and go bowling or mini golfing

  • Learn how to make your Mom’s meatloaf – cooking a meal together is a great way to bond. (As long as you don’t burn dinner!)

  • Plan a family camping trip. There’s nothing like pitching a tent to test your family’s communication skills! And what better time to tell stories than around a campfire, eating s’mores?

  • Get active. Suggest a family bike ride, fishing trip, canoe trip, hike, or horseback ride.

  • Too busy with school? Invite your family to one of your sport games, community service events, or a school talent show. You’ll get to keep the plans you already had, spend some time with the family, PLUS you can show your family what you’re up to when you’re not at home!

  • Introduce your parents to your world. Like movies? Find a parent-appropriate movie and bring your Mom or Dad. Go out to your favorite coffee shop or ice cream place afterwards to get their opinion on the flick. Love going clothes shopping? Bring your parents or siblings with you and pick out a whole new look for them!

  • Never see your brother unless you’re fighting with him over what to watch on TV? Suggest a trip to Six Flags for some sibling bonding time.

  • Scenario
Your parents are obsessed with establishing a family game night. You hate the idea. Do you know how to handle the situation without getting into a huge fight?
