The Great Gilly HopkinsBy Katherine Patterson
Though written in 1979, this remains one of the best works of fiction for young adults that deals with foster care. This is a great book to read if you’re a teen in foster care and need someone to relate to. It’s a story about a girl who goes to live with a foster family and really wants to live with her mother instead.
