“The Buzz Can Take Your Breath Away - Permanently”
This is a site created by the Canadian government to detail the dangers of OxyContin use. The information is very basic and laid out in a very easy-to-read format. Go here with a teen to show them some quick information about what they are getting themselves into with OxyContin. It also has some resources to go to for more detailed information.
This site was created as a memorial to those who have died from OxyContin abuse and also as an information site to prevent further deaths. The site is simple and easy to navigate around. It has news, hotline, and information but it is all very biased against the pharmaceutical company that manufactures OxyContin.

Pain Killer: A "Wonder" Drug's Trail of Addiction and Death by Barry Meier.
This book follows OxyContin from the pharmacies to the recent boom of abusers. It is a clear look at how OxyContin is ruining lives, but some people feel that it is unfairly biased against the company that makes OxyContin and ignores the lives that it is legally making more comfortable.
