LSD Can Be One BAD Trip
LSD is perhaps the most commonly used hallucinogenic and mood-altering drug in the world. But what really happens to a person who is “tripping” on acid? When a person takes LSD, she is putting herself in serious danger – danger that is not worth the risk of the anticipated euphoric state one experiences when using LSD.

People who think that LSD is the only way to expand their mind are seriously mistaken. Many people claim to use the drug to “expand” their mind or see the world in a new way. But this “new way” can be very psychologically damaging, and the effects of a trip can last for much longer than the 12 hours or so that the drug remains in the body. It is very dangerous even if used only once.  People who are tripping lose control of their mind and lose touch with reality – they think that they can perform extraordinary things, like flying. But a person tripping on acid will always fall. Long term use of LSD can lead to serious mental problems, such as psychosis and schizophrenia. Because of the unpredictability of the drug, there is no guarantee that one will recover from a one time use.

If you want to see the world in a new way, travel, take up a new hobby, or do community service. All of these are great ways to get a new perspective on life and see things from a new point of view without risking your body and mind. Remember that nobody is perfect. Don’t be afraid to ask for help if you or someone you know is using LSD; you could save a life – even your own!
