Brain Drain: Heroin Kills
The brain is a very complex organ.  When it functions normally, it’s as smooth as clockwork. Using heroin is like throwing a wrench into the machine.

Studies have shown that a new trend is on the rise for high school kids – heroin use.  In the last few years, heroin has become increasingly less expensive and easier to come by. Heroin is extremely addictive and habit-forming, which means that the more you use, the more likely you are to continue using.

But if heroin is such a problem, why does it not even make a blip “teenage-problem” radar?  Heroin can be a devastating drug, and yet nobody seems to want to talk about it.

This page will tell you the facts about heroin – what it does to your body and how it can change the person that you are.  The facts are scary – but so is the drug.

Heroin, in its true form, has been around since 1874.  Back then, it was used to treat things like chest pain and the common cough.  However, as time and technology progressed, the medical world realized that heroin severely damaged a person’s brain and body.

The more you know, the better equipped you will be to deal with the problem. If you or someone you know is using heroin, you are not alone! The number of users is on the rise, so you don’t have to overcome this life threatening drug habit by yourself. Get help; there is plenty available!
