Epilepsy Association of Central Florida
This site has great, east to read, info on epilepsy. The basic facts, myths about epilepsy and medical explanations are all here. Also has a list of famous historic figures who suffered from it. Because it is a regional organization most of the volunteer opportunities may not apply to you.
This is the home site of the National Epilepsy foundation. They are the biggest organization fighting for awareness of the disorder. Their site is full of information, recent news and ways to help but it can be a little hard to read through (the type is very small!). This is the best place to go to find out where to get help or how to give help.
This site is designed to help those who have epilepsy (or know someone who does) deal with it. It is also a place for health care professionals who come in contact with epilepsy to find resources to give to their patients. There is news, research, basic info, stories, experts, even practical considerations like listings for camps which cater to children who have seizures. This is a great resource, especially for parents.
