The American Cancer Society provides extensive information on all forms of cancer. Their site has up to day news and is very easy to navigate. A simple search for “skin cancer” will bring up all the info you need in a very readable format.
This site has research studies, statistics, clinical trials, research funding, general information and more about all forms of cancer. It is very easy to navigate and features “Live Help” (experts available to answer questions through discussion boards and chats) during certain hours of the day.
The Cancer Index is a resource center for extensive information on all sorts of cancers. If you enter the “Guide to Internet Resources” it provides links to specific articles dealing with all types of cancers and all the questions associated with cancer. It is a great resource but an especially engaging site. It is basically just what it sounds like- an index of articles.
This is a complete site on preventing skin cancer. It has pages for children, older kids, and adults. The information ranges from treatments to protecting yourself from the sun to how to perform self-examinations.
