NO!! PLEASE!! ANYTHING BUT THAT!! NOT THE DREADED…DENTIST!!! (DUM DUM DUM!!!)
For countless people, a trip to the dentist is like a scene straight out of a nightmare. The idea of staring at the ceiling while that horrible light shines directly into your eyes and the dentist hovers over your mouth with his miniature instruments of torture is enough to make anyone gulp – that is, you would gulp if your mouth wasn’t opened as wide as it can go for thirty minutes straight.

While it’s not a very good idea to skip out on your dentist all together, there are certainly ways that you can make the experience less horrifying and avoid a full oral attack by mouth-sized power tools. Take good care of your teeth and gums between appointments and the dentist will have nothing to drill, fill, or shoot full of Novocain.

Taking good care of your teeth and mouth means more than just brushing your teeth once or twice a day. It’s also important to brush your gums and tongue, floss daily and occasionally use mouthwash. Good oral hygiene helps to keep your mouth healthy – which means that the dentist has less to fix (or attack, depending on how you look at it). It also helps to prevent bad breath and makes for shiny, healthy teeth and gums. So go on, show the world those pearly whites. A bright and friendly smile can brighten anyone’s day. So practice good oral hygiene and keep those teeth bright!

If your teeth start to bother you, don’t suffer in silence. Take a trip to your dentist and get your mouth checked out. You can also be a role model for younger siblings who are afraid of the dentist chair.

How often do you brush your teeth?
Whenever I remember to
Twice a day – once in the morning, and once before I go to bed
After every meal – I bring a toothbrush with me wherever I go
Usually once a day
What is this "teeth brushing" that you speak of?

In a study, participants were asked whose celebrity smile they would most like to see on their boss.  Tom Cruise was the answer above anyone else.
