What are the Symptoms of an Ulcer?
The following are some general and common symptoms in people who have ulcers:
  • A burning in the stomach is the most common symptom
  • Weight loss
  • Appetite loss
  • Eating becomes painful
  • Feeling sick to your stomach
  • Vomiting
  • Excessive burping
  • Bloody or blackish bowel movements
  • A dull ache the comes and goes for a few days or weeks, which usually starts 2-3 hours after a meal and usually goes away after you eat and comes in the middle of the night when your stomach is empty
Have stomach pain and you don't know why?  Worried you might have an ulcer?  Check any of the following items that apply to you:
Smoke or drink
Have a stomach ache that's been coming and going for a week or longer
Feel sick to my stomach a lot
Have relatives who have had ulcers
Get stomach aches in the middle of the night, even when I haven't eaten anything!
