Our society has become obsessed with getting fit and losing weight causing people to try to find a quick fix.  You’ve probably seen the wide variety of diet pills on TV or heard of athletes using supplements to enhance their performance and image.

These methods are unfair to those who work hard to get where they are and can also put your health in serious danger.  It’s important for everyone to find ways to strengthen and shape their bodies while still being safe and healthy.

Share your story about how Medications & Supplements have affect your life or the life of someone you know.

Our society seems to be lacking tolerance for delayed gratification, which by the way is a sign of immaturity. It appears that people are unwilling to work hard at anything, yet they expect perfection and want immediate results. Good news for pharmaceutical companies.

When Fen-Phen was introduced to the United States, people were ecstatic about the new miracle pill and its proven results. Lose weight without working-out…count them in. Surprise!! People have actually died or encountered serious side effects including heart and lung problems.

Today, aside from prescription drugs, which are so easily attained, there are thousands of over-the-counter, quick fix, happiness in a bottle, products. We as consumers are bombarded by commercials and advertisements with thin, toned and bronzed bodies running on a beach. The message: Your life will be greatly improved once you look like a model in an underwear ad. This is not to say that ALL supplements are dangerous, but it’s direly important that you’re well-informed about dietary supplements and medications.

Vitamins, on the other hand, offer added health benefits, especially when dieting. Always consult you physician before deciding to take anything, as these may cause dangerous reactions with other medications that you might be taking. Your physician will be able to help you decide what is best for your body and your goals.

Do you think athletes should be allowed to use performance enhancers?
Yes, any of them
Yes, but only natural supplements
No, its cheating
Give them only natural juices and berries!
