Bigger Isn't Always Better
You've heard it all before: eat right and exercise and you'll be in good shape.  But did you know there's a wrong and right way to exercise?  More isn't necessarily better.

Eat right, get some exercise and stay in shape.  Seems like a pretty easy recipe doesn't it?  Except no one tells you exactly how much of each to have.  What exactly does it mean to 'eat right'?  How much exercise are you supposed to get?  What workout routines should you do?  How long are you supposed to do it?  Too much work!?

It's true that those are the key ingredients for a healthier you. Eating right is probably easier than working out properly since the FDA put out the food pyramid. But exercise depends mainly on your size, age, and how much you can handle, which depends upon how often you work out.

A 15-year-old girl who is 120 pounds and 5'7" would not walk into a gym for the first time and start benching 270 pounds, unless she's got some freaky upper body strength.  A gym pro wouldn't walk on the treadmill for 20 minutes without breaking a sweat and call it a day.

If you're wondering just how much you should be working out and for how long, know there is no set regulation - it really depends on your body type and you!

"I try not to over-exercise.  I don't want to look like a body builder, just to be in shape and I don't have to go to the gym everyday for that."  - Sean, 15

"Walking is pretty good exercise and I can do it with my friends or my dog.  It burns a lot of calories and I don't need a membership for it." –Annie, 16

How often do you exercise?
Once a day at least
A few times a week
If I'm really good, once a month
Exercise? What's that?
