Getting Well
There is no reason to continue feeling uncomfortable or sick. If you notice that you're feeling slightly under the weather or totally awful, don't be afraid to get some help. Talk to your parent or guardian who can make an appointment for you to see a doctor or healthcare specialist.

Unfortunately for a lot of people, a visit to the doctor sucks. Sometimes our doctors may have bad news; we could have a permanent condition. Don't panic! Doctors are there to help. If a condition requires surgery or extensive treatment, they will make sure that you are as comfortable and at ease as possible. Doctors will keep you and your parents up-to-date with your condition, progress and treatment options.

More On Surgeries and Treatments

During oral surgeries, like getting your wisdom teeth pulled, you will most likely receive local anesthesia to numb the area. With major surgeries, the medication will send you off to dreamland until the surgery is over.  Care for diseases like cancer require repeat visits to the doctor where they will give treatments to lessen the effects and frequency of symptoms.

It's best to stay on top of your health. By getting regular checkups and paying attention to your body, you can help prevent or detect illnesses early.
