Feeling Crabby
These aren't the kind of crabs whose legs taste great when you cook them.  These crabs are the kind you want to avoid completely.

When you think of crabs, you should think of delicious seafood, those legs that taste great and those big pincher claws.  But the kind of crabs we'e talking about here don't even live in the ocean, let alone taste good with a little butter sauce.  These crabs will turn you red in the most unpleasant of spots.

Otherwise known as pubic lice, crabs live mainly in your pubic hairs and like tiny vampires they feed off of your blood from those follicles.  These little buggers will make you itch and scratch until you're red and bleeding, and they still won't quit.  They need your blood to survive and they're not going down without a fight.

Luckily, their weakness in life is a shampoo that can be bought over the counter.  They have no defense against this powerful weapon, and usually one thorough wash will kill them all.  But they'll make you miserable while they're alive and biting.  You'll need to wash all clothes, bed sheets, and towels that were used through the infection thoroughly with hot water too to make sure you don't get another infestation of these little critters.

Sound like a drag to you? It really can be! But the good news is you can only catch crabs through sex, or by using an infested person's towels, clothes, or bed sheets.  So as long as you don't sleep around or get in other people's beds, you should be safe from getting infected.  The only kinds of crabs you want to come into contact with are the ones you find at the beach. Right?
