Warning Signs
If you see any of these pubescent changes in your younger sister before the age of 7 or brother before the age of 9 they may have precocious puberty.

Talk to your doctor if your younger sibling shows any of the signs listed below of early sexual maturation. Also, if your younger sibling seems to be growing a lot faster than his or her peers, inform your doctor.

Girls

  • Development of breasts
  • Growth of pubic hair
  • Onset of menstruation
  • Acne

Boys

  • Growth of pubic hair
  • Facial hair
  • Deepening of the voice
  • Enlargement of the penis or testicles
