Sexual Harassment or Innocent Flirting?
Sexual bullying is against the law! If you or a friend of yours is being harassed, just trying to grin and bear it won't stop it. Get help!

You totally hate going to school each day! It's not the work load you can't take, it's the non-stop looks and leers, touching and teasing, cornering, cat-calling and pressure for sexual favors that affects you big time!

Sexual harassment is one of the most painful kinds of bullying. The sexual sully or harasser causing the pain is a "mental dwarf" on a power trip. He (or she) needs to build himself up by putting other kids down. The legal definition of sexual harassment covers a lot of territory; it is "any unwelcome behavior of a sexual nature". That definition could mistakenly include some perfectly normal stuff adolescents try out when they are flirting or want to get attention or approval. Are you or someone you know constantly getting bugged by other students or even a teacher or school administrator? Here are some questions to as yourself to decide whether or not what is happening is sexual harassment:

1. Is the person's behavior of a sexual nature (sex talk, touching, cornering, etc.)?
2. Is the behavior definitely not wanted by you?
3. Does whatever the person is saying or doing make you feel uncomfortable or embarrassed?
4. Does what's happening get in he way of your studying, learning, or enjoying your school life?
5. Is what is taking place happening over an over again?
