This is a great little site that features a map of the US and possibilities of different disasters in different regions of the country. This site has cool graphics and designs. Aimed at a wide audience, some of the content is a little tough to read and navigate through. There is also a good “natural disaster tips” page.
Fun site for kids to learn about weather definitions and information
This site is where kids can learn about weather and how to become a meteorologist; for parent and teacher sections must register. Site also has awesome interactive tools and graphics. Put together by The Weather Channel, this site provides a really cool way to learn about all sorts of weather stuff. Easy to navigate and read. The special “for students” section is geared at teenagers.
