[They] accomplish [their] goals by promoting public policies, educating the public, and providing families, law enforcement and communities with the ongoing support and expertise needed to protect our children. Some of [their] work includes providing missing child case work around the clock, distributing child safety kits for parents, holding public events and trainings on protecting children, and promoting public policies such as the Amber Alerts, named after a girl who was abducted.
