Advice, information, and support for GLBT youth are offered here. Give your child someplace to turn. They may learn how best to communicate with you about their problems.
(800) 969 - 6884 If you or someone like you has been thrown out and is living on the streets, call for them. Out Youth Austin offers a number of services for runaways. They can help arrange family mediation, suicide and other counseling, referrals for housing and medical services for runaways. They will also help exchange messages between runaways and their families. You may save a life! It's anonymous, can be called from anywhere, and won't show up on a phone bill.

Advice, support, and information for GLBT youth are offered here. Let your child know there are other people in their same situation. They are not alone.
Peer Listening Line(800) 399 – PEERMonday to Friday (4pm-10pm Pacific Time)
This is a hotline to call where other teens who know what your child is going through will chat and give advice.
Samariteens(800) 252 – TEEN (8336)
This is a good hotline to call when your child or someone you know has given up hope. They deal with teens who are troubled or suicidal. If your child or someone you know feels alone, they can contact the Samariteens for guidance.
