From the Desk of Will B. Hired

You need some way to make some money this summer and not be bored out of your mind.  Somehow babysitting your neighbor’s four-year old just isn’t going to cut it again.  You want a job where you’re going to meet people your own age, and who can speak in full sentences – not drool.  You want to get out of your house and do something with your time, and make money while doing it.

You search in the papers and online to find something that you’d want to do.  Finally you find it—your dream summer job.  It’s perfect, so you call the number and they want you to send them a résumé.  You have no idea what that means.  You’ve heard other people talking about their résumés, but you don’t have one of your own.  Now what?  Scratch those dream plans and go back to playing patty-cake?

Luckily for you, résumés are simple to make and once you’ve got one done, all you really need to do is update it from time to time.  It requires a little bit of time to make a good one, but once you do you’ve got the first step to any great job done.  A great résumé will help you get the attention of any employer, and get your foot in the door of your dream job.

How do you feel about stretching the truth about your skills and job experience on a résumé?
I feel that it's necessary
I feel that it's wrong
Depends on how badly I want the job
