Your college may require you to fill out both the FAFSA and the CSS/PROFILE in order to consider you for financial aid. Although you have to watch out for ads, this is a good site for searching for scholarships. After registering with the site (this COULD take awhile…), scholarships that fit your profile will be put in your "My Results" folder.

If you are interested in serving in the military, there are various programs which exchange time served for help in paying for school. This site will explain more about those programs. Some offers are very generous (provided that you have discussed the decision to join the military with your parents and guidance counselor, and have thought the decision over). If you join the ROTC, for example, the US military might pay your full tuition, plus award you with a book allowance and a monthly stipend.
