Finding your passion means finding out what you’re good at, what you truly enjoy doing, what you believe in. Think about it, you can make money doing something you love. Sure there are jobs out there that may pay more than your dream job or with a title that sounds better, but do you want to get stuck doing something you don’t like? No matter how much you earn, if you’re unhappy at your job you will stay unhappy – no dollar amount will change that.
You’re probably wondering how you’re supposed to know what you like if you’ve never tried it before. Internships are the best way to feel out a career. You gain experience and a reference on your resume. Plus, it’s a chance to see if that kind of work fulfills your passion. If not and you realize that career is not for you, move on. Life’s too short to waste time being miserable. There’s no reason for it. With good planning, hard work and a little bit of luck, you can do whatever you want to. Once you realize that, you’ll be on your way to a fulfilling career and life.
Here are a couple examples of fun jobs you might look into: A girl who worked for Au bon Pain, had the job of coming up with different foods and recipes for them to sell. Did you know that some people actually get paid to play video games or be personal shoppers? There are millions of cool jobs I’ll bet you didn’t even know existed. Explore your options, don’t settle and most importantly, do what you love.
