Liz Walker
Television News Anchor, Writer

"I have no book that I can read and say, 'This is the perfect way to be the perfect parent,' but I think you have to be willing to make little sacrifices and sometimes big sacrifices."

Liz Walker was raised in Little Rock, Arkansas during a time when black Americans were struggling to obtain civil and basic human rights.  Despite her challenging surroundings, Liz persevered and has become a greatly respected television journalist.  Ms. Walker balances her career, her son, and her education (she is currently enrolled in graduate school at Harvard University) and still has time to reach out to her community and make a difference in the lives of others.
